The Restream Space

The Restream Space is a solo not-for-profit project to provide a video streaming network backbone and event management tooling to the speedrunning, gaming event, and gaming livestream communities, with the hopes that it will encourage more high-quality yet small-scale, experimental, and casual stream events.

The Restream Space aims to provide a solid, reliable network of streaming servers to carry video content between event participants, commentators, and production staff, without needing to rely on inflexible, corporate-owned services; as well as tooling to automate the creation of broadcast graphics, overlays, and informational displays.

An event supported by The Restream Space does not need to provide their own video servers, and can give a team of hosts and setup staff the power to control their event securely and simply with a full suite of tools that turns designing a broadcast graphic environment into filling out some text fields and clicking a button.

Whether you need a simple, fast interface for automating the production of an event with a team of one or two, or just need a reliable RTMP/WebRTC server cluster for carrying your video to your streaming staff, The Restream Space wants to help.

For many events this service may be free; check out the FAQ to learn more.
